This "stew" will help you use your time to enjoy your children, maybe play together and also save some money. Homemade plasticine, as we know is healthier than one that is sold in stores.
Let's get to work.
To make homemade plasticine, we need the following:
2 cups flour
2 cups water
1 cup of salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of citric acid
Confectionery colors of your choice
First, in a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, salt and citric acid. Then mix well. Put water (room temperature) in a pan or other suitable container and add a tablespoon of oil. Add dry ingredients to the pot and mix it well first, and only then put on the stove. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until a suitable agitator.
After several minutes, the dough will begin to solidify. Over time, Burke will become more difficult, but it means that the work comes to an end. When ready, is known by the fact that the dough no longer sticks to your fingers. Only then turn off the heat and move to the next stage.
Remove the dough from the pan and begin to knead, while it is still warm, so all the ingredients are perfectly merged. Then divide the dough into pieces the size of your choice and make it into smaller balls and each ball, make a hole with your finger to the middle. For cleaner, you can do it on a baking sheet. Take color optional, apply a few drops into the hole and gently mix. It's nice to do this with gloves to keep your hands to paint. If you do not like rubber gloves, confectionery paint is easily washed with detergent.
Another thing you can use is the essence. Strawberry and raspberry to red, lemon yellow ... many variants.
If you want to save the plasticine for longer, you can put it in a plastic bag, in a plastic box or just wrap it in foil.
I hope it's a good idea to have fun with your kids. Home plasticine, as I mentioned, is stored longer and certainly most parents see it as something healthy for children from store-bought one. If you play every day it will last about a month, and if the children think of him often, and can last up to 3 months.
It is better to store it in the refrigerator.
